Summer Camp 3
Menu: Learn to make your own Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, and Dinner. 100% hands-on cooking with a maximum of 6-8 children per class. We make several recipes and enjoy our meal together at the end of class. As we work, we talk about where the ingredients come from and how they work together to create the food we eat!
Class Description: Participate in all 4 classes, or choose the ones that work for you. Take all 4 classes for $145, or pay $40/class. AM: The 9:30-11:30 class is geared for ages 11-17. PM: The 1:30-3:30 class is geared for ages 8-12. Exceptions can be made. Please email Sue.
Day 1: We're going to be making Breakfast! We'll start by making homemade applesauce and we'll then incorporate it into oatmeal applesauce pancakes. We will also make eggs 3 ways: scrambled, over easy, and hard-boiled. (If you only want to take day 1, sign up for August 14. Select AM for ages 11-17 and PM for ages 8-12. Email Sue for exceptions.)
Day 2: Let's make Lunch! Taco salad muffins (think a taco in a muffin tin). Tortilla soup. Refried beans that we will prep the day before. This lunch is going to be amazing! (If you only want to take Day 2, sign up for August 15. Select AM for ages 11-17 and PM for ages 8-12. Email Sue for exceptions.)
Day 3: Snacktime! Chocolate banana bread and homemade cereal type bars. There's a popular version out there that starts with an "N" and ends with "grain". We'll make a tasty version with out all those unnecessary ingredients. (If you only want to take Day 3, sign up for August 16. Select AM for ages 11-17 and PM for ages 8-12. Email Sue for exceptions.)
Day 4: Dinner Time! Stuffed food will be our theme today! We'll make stuffed shells and stuffed peppers! We'll wrap up with some fruit slushes on what will likely be a hot day. (If you only want to take Day 4, sign up for August 17. Select AM for ages 11-17 and PM for ages 8-12. Email Sue for exceptions.)
