Weekly Food Challenge: Add More Color To Your Plate

Who's in? We'll get you started with ⭐️5⭐️ kid-friendly ideas to add some color to your plate, plus reasons WHY it’s so important. Let's go!

⭐️Make lettuce wraps using some butterhead lettuce, ground turkey, scallions, ginger, carrots, and cucumber.

⭐️Have a piece of avocado toast topped with an egg, quartered cherry tomatoes, and diced orange bell peppers.

⭐️Have a sunrise bowl with tri-color quinoa, scrambled eggs, beets, chard, avocado, and tahini.

⭐️Make a smoothie bowl with a berry base, topped with sliced bananas, kiwi, unsweetened coconut flakes, nuts, and granola.

⭐️Make a burrito bowl with beans, rice, peppers, tomatoes, corn, salsa verde, and avocado.

If you need an extra push to get going, here’s why it’s so important for your health: Each different color provides different nutrients that aren’t found in any other colors of fruit or vegetable. One isn’t necessarily more important than the other, and they all work together, so the best thing you can do is eat as much variety as you can.
